Situated in a beautiful valley on the western fringe of Exmoor National Park, Combe Martin has a fascinating history, which can be discovered in the village museum next to the Tourist Information Centre in Cross Street.

The sheltered harbour allowed trade to travel across the Bristol Channel and also supported a local fishing fleet. Miners from Wales used their skills to extract lead and silver from lodes at the top end of the village where a remaining engine house chimney still remains.

Today, the area is a favourite with holidaymakers of all ages. The unspoilt coastal views are enjoyed by both casual strollers and ramblers whilst families take advantage of the many local attractions that the area has to offer. There is a good range of pubs, shops and cafes in the main street, which leads directly to the harbour and beach.
